IT Support Engineer
(m/f)
This is a position in a dynamic and fast growing company, providing IT Customer Service Support to internal business users. Luxembourg is the principal support location, however the responsibilities will also encompass supporting users in other countries in close proximity to Luxembourg.
The position involves interacting and working closely with global IT Organizations, and assuming responsibility for coordinating and driving technical resolutions across these groups, ensuring user incidents and service requests are resolved in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
The successful candidate will also ensure that company standards, policies and procedures are being followed as part of the day to day IT operations, and will suggest improvements to existing policies and processes.
The scope of the technical support is primarily focused on PCs and peripheral hardware devices but also includes server and network support at local levels. Some PC application support (e.g. MS Office) is required.
Main duties/responsibilities:
• Installation, configuration and administration of computer hardware and peripheral devices at local office sites;
• Creation and management of user accounts, security profiles and application access;
• Liaise and coordinate support between local, regional technical teams and global support organizations;
• Gather data and prepare weekly management Key Performance Indicators and status reports;
• Manage and execute service requests and incident resolutions using the service management tool, ensuring adherence to internal processes and Service Level Agreements;
• Work with the Major Incident Manager during “priority one” incidents to resolve or implement technical work in order to make services available as soon as possible;
• Complete internal audit remediations in the technical environment;
• Adhere to and ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies;
• Communicate capacity management issues to the local IT Manager.
Educational level and work experience required:
• Technical baccalaureat;
• 2 years of experience in IT maintenance or set up, experience in hardware would be an advantage;
• Fluency in English; knowledge of the French language is desirable;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills;
• Service-minded and customer focused with a proven ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks;
• Strong sense of responsibility, self motivated, innovative and analytical;
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
• Dynamic and enthusiastic personality;
• Proactive attitude.
